I know I've said this quite a few times, but I think I'm finally done with blogging. I think I'm done trying to do something I no longer enjoy. It takes so much time trying to decide if I'm going to make a blog post and what I'm going to make it about.

I'm honestly tired of writing long reviews. I know reviews are important in the book world, I honestly am just kind of over it. I will still be writing mini reviews on my Twitter and Goodreads. I will also still keep track of my books and ratings here

My current giveaway will stay active and I will choose a winner when the giveaway is closed. My future giveaways will be hosted on my Twitter account. Be sure to follow me to be aware of future giveaways.

I don't really post on Bookstagram anymore. I won't delete because I use that as way to be in the know about books.

Wilder Girls

It's been eighteen months since the Raxter School for Girls was put under quarantine. Since the Tox hit and pulled Hetty's life out from under her.

It started slow. First the teachers died one by one. Then it began to infect the students, turning their bodies strange and foreign. Now, cut off from the rest of the world and left to fend for themselves on their island home, the girls don't dare wander outside the school's fence, where the Tox has made the woods wild and dangerous. They wait for the cure they were promised as the Tox seeps into everything.

But when Byatt goes missing, Hetty will do anything to find her, even if it means breaking quarantine and braving the horrors that lie beyond the fence. And when she does, Hetty learns that there's more to their story, to their life at Raxter, than she could have ever thought true.

I wanted to love this book because I absolutely adore it's cover. This book..... was not for me.

I had to switch from physically reading it to listening to it on audiobook. I was bored out of my mind throughout this entire book. This book was extremely gory, but other than that not much really happened.

I don't want to go into any details because I don't want to spoil the book for anyone who may enjoy it. This book has a ton of trigger warnings and I ask everyone to read them before they read this book. The idea of this book sounded great. A school of girls that gets put under quarantine because they have a sickness called the Tox. I think it wasn't executed very well...

I feel like this book should have been longer. Maybe if were an adult book and delved more into the science? I don't know. I'm honestly not sure if I'll pick up another book by this author...

Away From The Blog

Honestly? Not much has happened this week away from the blog. I decided to join a book club called Bookish Banter and I'm excited to be apart of a group where we read amazing books.

Work has been the same. It's getting a bit stressful now that my city is making everyone wear masks. It's hard to deal with the people who completely refuse to wear masks. I'm just over it completely. Just wear a mask and quit complaining...

I didn't play a crazy amount of Animal Crossing this week. Although, I am loving the new update. Swimming is awesome and I love finding new things! I'm still trying to make my island all one level. It just takes a lot of time.

I'm posting on Saturday because when I work Sundays, it's normally an eleven hour shift and I honestly don't get on my computer to do anything. I'm spending my Saturday with my family and working on my island on Animal Crossing!

In Case You Missed It!

What are you currently reading? What have you recently finished? Anything good happen to you this week?

I have decided to join a monthly book club! Bookish Banter is hosted by Nikki, she's an amazing person you should totally follow her Twitter and her blog

Why am I going with this book club? Besides the fact that Nikki is awesome, of course. This book club uses two platforms for talking. Discord and BookClubz. So far, I prefer BookClubz because Discord seems to have a lot going on and I can't keep up with a lot of things because of work and stuff.

Also, she has come up with a reading schedule! I feel like this will really help with balancing other books as well.

There are also questions! I love being able to think about key questions while reading a book. I feel like having these questions will help me dissolve and understand this book more!

I am going to be annotating all the books that I read for this book club. It's very rare that I annotate books but I think it would be good if I did for this book club!

With all that being said, I'm going to start reading now!!

I'm amazed with how much I've been reading this year. I am so close to reaching my reading goal for the year and it's still pretty early in the year. I normally don't hit my goal until about November or December! I'm hoping I can keep it up and maybe hit 100 books for the year... for the first time ever 😮

This month was a huge audiobook month for me. Why? Animal Crossing has taken over my life! I listen to audiobooks while I play and it's a great way to mix two of my favorite hobbies together. I also took some time away from blogging and so there aren't reviews for some of these books.

If you want to start listening to audiobooks and aren't on Scribd yet, you definitely should try them! You can get 60 days free for signing up with my link. I will also receive 30 days free if you sign up. So help me out!

Once A Myth
Goddess Isles #1

Eleanor Grace is a naïve dreamer. Trusting and young, she believes her book-loving boyfriend can save her when her freedom is snatched and sold. Squirreled away to an island at midnight, delivered to a man even darkness won’t touch, she’s bound by a contract.
Five men.
Five fantasies.
Five pieces of her soul.
Sullivan Sinclair is the giver of fantasies. Any wish, any desire—he is the master at quenching even the filthiest appetites. His private paradise and perfectly trained goddesses are there for one purpose: to ensure every guest is extremely well satisfied.
He bought her.
He trapped her.
She belongs to him.
tw: abduction/captivity, emotional/physical abuse, dubious consent

This is a dark romance. It's not for everyone. Please don't pick this book up if any of those trigger warnings will trigger you!

Pepper Winters is by far my favorite romance author. She writes mostly dark romances, so these books are not for everyone. Tears Of Tess was my introduction to this dark world and I've been obsessed since reading that series. Speaking of Tess, I really like how Pepper's other books are integrated in this one. We meet Tess very early in this book and we also know that Sullivan does business with Jethro from the Indebted series.

I think this series is going to be insane.

Eleanor Grace is abducted as she is travelling with her boyfriend Scott. She's sold to Sullivan who runs an island where people can pay a huge sum of money to have their sexual fantasies brought to life. Sullivan has made an elixir that will make your body.... extremely turned on? I'm honestly not entirely sure how to say it. Basically, for a few hours you're going to be extremely horny.
He gives this elixir to his Goddesses. The Goddesses are the women he's bought from slavers. He has them all sign a contract where they will work for him for four years and then he sets them free. All the Goddesses love it on the island after they adjust.

Eleanor is the exception. She wants nothing to do with this island. She doesn't want anything to do with this elixir. She hates it. She hates Sullivan... or does she?

This is obviously like an enemies to lovers romance. As both Sullivan and Eleanor highly dislike each other for different reasons.

This book was addicting. This book is extremely steamy. I didn't want to put it down. I made sure I finished it before June was over so I could include it in my monthly wrap up. I cannot wait to see what awaits Eleanor and Sullivan in the next book!
